OZONE  DAY

Taha School organized diverse activities for school children to create awareness about the importance of ozone layer for life on earth and the steps required for its conservation. The designed sets of activities were in support of United Nations General Assembly resolution regarding celebration of 16th September as the ‘International Day for the preservation of Ozone layer’.

‘Slogan Writing Activity’ on the topic ‘Save the Ozone layer’ was conducted for all students of classes II to VIII. Students explored their creative potential and came up with interesting yet informative slogans to increase awareness amongst the masses for the urgent need to conserve the ozone layer.

‘Creative Essay writing’ on the topic ‘How can we make our atmosphere healthy?’ was organized for all students of classes V and VII. Students utilized their analytical and reasoning skills to come up with productive solutions and effective measures that can be taken to make the earth’s atmosphere healthy in context to the survival of the diverse life forms on the blue planet.

‘Poster Making Activity’ on the topic ‘Ozone: A natural Umbrella‘ was held for class 2. The activity witnessed the students translating their theoretical knowledge about the importance of ozone layer into eye catching posters which conveyed the message in an impactful way.

‘Power Point Presentation’ on the topic ‘Global Warming- Its causes and impacts‘ was organized for students of classes V and VI. Students utilized different videos, animations, bar graphs and other statistical representations to spread awareness about the main causes and alarming effects of Global Warming.

The spiral of the above listed activities helped the students to explore, understand, analyse and reflect upon the significance of ozone layer for life on the planet Earth. The diverse set of activities helped to spread awareness and make the students understand the urgent need of preservation of Ozone layer.
