TURNCOAT  COMPETITION

As part of the Literary Honor, Our Principal Yasmin Zahir hosted Taha School’s Turncoat Debate Competition on 27th October, 2023 in which Class 5 to 8 participated.

A Turncoat Debate is a very interesting form of debate in which the speaker is given some time to prepare and thereafter is required to speak both for and against the topic.

The topic given to the students was: Should Students wear uniforms to School?. Is this Good to be Bilingual? Is the use of Plastic good for the Planet?

After researching and preparing for this topic for an hour, the competition began amidst great enthusiasm. All the participants put forth their views FOR the topic with great confidence and conviction. At the sound of the bell, they changed their stance and spoke AGAINST the topic with equal confidence and conviction. The judges of the event were

- Mrs. Yasmin Zahir

- Mrs. Shazia Hasan

- Miss. Zehra Qaiser
